Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl
With yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there
She would merengue and do the cha-cha
And while she tried to be a star
Tony always tended bar
Across the crowded floor, they worked from 8 til 4
They were young and they had each other
Who could ask for more?
At the copa (CO!) Copacabana (Copacabana)
The hottest spot north of Havana (here)
At the copa (CO!) Copacabana
Music and passion were always in fashion
At the copa… they fell in love
His name was Rico
He wore a diamond
He was escorted to his chair, he saw Lola dancing there
And when she finished, he called her over
But Rico went a bit too far
Tony sailed across the bar
And then the punches flew and chairs were smashed in two
There was blood and a single gun shot
But just who shot who?
REPEAT
At the copa… she lost her love
Her name is Lola, she was a showgirl,
But that was 30 years ago, when they used to have a show
Now it’s a disco, but not for Lola,
Still in dress she used to wear,
Faded feathers in her hair
She sits there so refined, and drinks herself half-blind
She lost her youth and she lost her Tony
Now she’s lost her mind
REPEAT
At the copa… don’t fall in love
Don’t fall in love

He’s Inuyasha; he’s half demon
With dog ears and a red suikan (dead silence)
He would fight demons and also humans
And while he wanted the Shikon Jewel,
Kiyoko was the village priestess too
Across Feudal Japan, they would roam the land
They were young and had each other
Who could ask for more?
Inuyasha, oh Inuyasha,
The Japanese land of Japan,
Inuyaha, Inuyasha
Swords and magic were always in the land
Inuyasha… unrequited love
Her name is Kagome, she’s a high school student
She fell into a well and saw Inuyasha in a tree
And she saved him, she really saved him
Now they hunt for the Shikon Jewel and want each other too
But they are both unspoke
Can’t tell their feelings oh
Neither can confess their feelings
<more episodes here>
Inuyasha, oh Inuyasha,
<better rhyme for music and fashion were always the passion here>
Or maybe Kiyoko and Kagome should be switched since <<SPOILERS>> Kagome was the one who he loved? It just feels weird to write Kiyoko in Tony’s place, even though it’s shown early on they both attacked each other. The problem is that I want Inuyasha to be the one fought over, even though it was probably Tony who was shot by Rico. The story doesn’t fold perfectly into the song. It’s somewhat implied that it was Lola who shot either Tony or Rico, which makes the whole song all the more vexxing. Since Inuyasha lived, I want to write him in for the part of Lola, but I don’t know why Lola would kill Tony over Rico, some things cannot be explained! Anyway, I would figure Lola shoots Tony, so that’s Inuyasha and Kiyoko, but the problem is that Kagome wasn’t even present in this whole affair, and i’m not about to write Kagome into a scene where she wasn’t, and I’m not going to make an AU, so let’s leave this half finished song fic where is it now (in the incompleted pile bc author lazy).
Karma Karma Karma Karma Karma Chameleon
Loki Loki Loki Loki Loki Leifison…
I used to write “He killed them all; he killed them all” but I could never figure out how to explain the color of my dreams, since the og song is about the karma of a past lover, whereas Loki is more of a deity, I just thought the tunes sounded nice when the words were replaced.
I think I wrote a funny All Star cover once, but it was very very long ago and I don’t have it saved anymore. I think I dropped it on Kik Messanger one night to some rando who dared me to write a song out after I claimed I could do it. He was all like “cap” no way called me a liar so I toasted him into a grilled cheese sandwich. Sometimes I still think of the rhymes I used to spit in class… haha, there was one when I would rhyme all the -ate words, so it was eight illuminate rebate late date kate sate mate… i don’t remember that one anymore. I thought I was going to post this publically, but it seems like it’s not such a good idea. It does feel more nice writing these down to a blog (albiet expensive). I like having a webpage more, and at some point will get around to actually editing this site and coloring and adding photos and drawing and all the html support, maybe some sort of live something feature i’d hope… another way to interact, spam bots or not, besides the comment option? We’ll see…
As for the song, I used to choose more fitting songs for characters, but I think as I’m no longer just a teenager on Kik Messenger, I can just leave this here. It is somewhat funny– we almost had a rap circle just through text as a teen :’) good memories.
